The workshop is tailored to meet the needs of coaches, other sports staff and volunteers and is a ‘Minimum Standards for Active Coaches’ requirement.
By attending the course you will be made aware of the tell-tale signs of abuse and be equipped with the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively.
Course content is approved by the NSPCC and its Child Protection in Sport Unit and it has been updated to address the impact of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 .
For all UK Coaching Courses there is a now a system to enable you to receive your certificates and store them online. Each candidate at the end of the evening will be asked to log onto the course and make a comment. The tutor will confirm your attendance and a certificate will be emailed to you. After 3 days the site will close, if you fail to register you will be responsible for contacting UK coaching in order to receive your certificate.
Certificate are awarded by UK coaching not Active Essex which are valid for 3 years.
