Active Essex are excited to announce it will partner with Micro Scooters to roll out the integration of Scoot Safe classes into the Essex ActivAte clubs across the summer programme. These classes aim to teach children essential scooter safety skills, promoting both fun and safety during their holiday activities.
Additionally, Active Essex will be trialling scooter packages in our priority neighbourhood schools during the autumn and winter 2024. This initiative is designed to provide students with access to scooters, encourage physical activity, and offer a convenient mode of transport.
Furthermore, the active travel programme will offer enticing incentives, such as rewards for consistent participation and achievements in active travel. These incentives are designed to inspire children and their families to adopt healthier, more active lifestyles, thereby enhancing the community’s overall wellbeing. By incorporating these elements, Active Essex and Micro Scooters are committed to fostering a culture of safety, activity, and health among the youth in Essex.
This raft of initiatives is being led by Micro Scooters, which is renowned for designing and engineering the best kids’ and adult scooters. For over twenty years, the company has been helping the UK’s families get from A to B in a greener, cleaner, quicker, and—let’s face it—more fun way. From revolutionising the school run to journey to work and weekend adventures, the Micro range has a set of wheels to suit every family member. Made for adventure, built to last.
