Celebrate Easter at home:

Easter doesn’t need to be costly, and we have some ways you can enjoy the holidays without the expense, in the comfort of your own home.

  • Our new, Easter and spring activity booklets are packed with plenty of different ways to get moving and be creative! Give our EGG-cellent Easter egg hunt a go by cutting out the eggs, colouring them in and sticking the animal movements on the back. The first one to find all the eggs or do the best animal impression wins!
  • Pop your apron on and get cooking some delicious, sweet and savoury Easter recipes from our activity booklets! There’s a dish for everyone to try, as well as some low-cost recipes to feed the whole family!

Easter events and days out:

During the holidays, there’s so much to do and see! Head down to a local activity near you, from Easter egg hunts to craft sessions, nature trails and furry friends! Take a look at a few of our favourite days out below…

North Essex – Easter Birds Egg Trail, Fingringhoe Wick Nature Discovery Park – Pop along on Saturday 1st April – Sunday 16 April from 10am – 4pm to search out our giant wooden birds eggs: answer the questions on the eggs to find out about the birds they belong to! No booking required. Price is £3 per child (includes a small gift). Find out more.

Mid Essex – Victorian Easter at Oaklands House, Chelmsford – Join us at the Chelmsford Museum from 3rd – 16th April for a holiday inspired by queen Victoria, including an Easter egg hunt, crafts and history. All activities are free. No booking required. Find out more.

West Essex – River Lee Country Park – Enjoy some spring fresh air and head down to Waltham Abbey to see what statues and wildlife you can spot in the park. It’s a beautiful walk around lakes and woodland, and a great way to get some steps in. Find out more.

South Essex – Meet Easter Farm Babies, Rochford – From 6th – 8th April, head down to Scott’s of Southend Garden Centre and see some lambs, chicks, ducklings, goats, ponies, rabbits and more for free! From 9am-5pm, no booking needed. Find out more.

Thurrock – Visit the Easter Photo Competition at Upside Down House for amazing Easter photo opportunities and the chance to win a goody bag. The competition is running from April 1st – 16thh, tickets cost £4.50. Find out more.
