Tracy Bliss, our Find Your Active Community Connector for Castle Point works to support the community to help find opportunities in your local area, as well as the small changes you can make to your lifestyle to benefit your physical and mental health and wellbeing
Tracy was the phenomenal driving force behind the allotment in Castle Point and was over the moon with the number of locals who came to see how the site has progressed on their first open day.
Brian Hickey has worked alongside Tracy in the design and build, recycling and reusing many donated materials to create not only an allotment but a welcoming community garden space as well.
The local MP Rebecca Harris, one of the early clearers of the site, said “Massive congratulations to all the volunteers. What an incredible transformation from the neglected plot a few months ago and now an absolute haven”
Tracy thanked all the people, businesses and organisations that had been so generous and helped to make it all possible. A special thanks to our allotmenteers who have dug, weeded, planted, and helped make it such a worthwhile project. A lovely day was had by all.
