What will you be a part of?

Being a part of this programme will give young people the opportunity to gain valuable experience in community sport settings, help build confidence and develop vital skills to support their development into life and future career pathways.

Who is the programme for?

This programme is for young people aged 14-16 years old who have either attended an Essex ActivAte club and now want to take on a responsible role at the club, or have been identified through their Essex-based school to support opportunities throughout their school and local community.

The Move With Us Leaders Academy will allow young people to:

• Get involved in volunteering opportunities at big calendar events across Essex, including the Essex School Games and other community projects
• Be rewarded for volunteering hours. This will include a number of recreational visits.
• Access training and qualifications from a range of providers, to suit each young persons interests
• Work alongside industry experts to build confidence, skills and enhance their CV
• Gain a personal statement and reference to support future endeavour

As part of the wider offer, the young people engaged in this academy, will be asked to join the cohort of Move With Us ambassadors. The young leaders will get the chance to voice their opinions about the campaign, the direction of youth sport in Essex, and provide their input in designing some of the key children and young people events throughout the calendar year.
