Congratulations to Hayley Sutcliffe, our Essex Activity Hero from Castle Point. Read and be inspired by their story below:
Through the nominations received for Hayley, it is clear to see she has an infectious positive attitude and a love for her job. Hayley is a class instructor, providing many different activity classes such as, Body Combat and bootcamp style circuit sessions.
During lockdown, concerned about the health of her regular participants, Hayley has been providing multiple classes online every day, free of charge. Despite being offered payment, she rejected it all saying, “I’m not doing this for money because keeping you all fit, healthy and happy is the reward I need.”
One individual who nominated Hayley, commented: “She is honestly loved by everyone who goes to her classes, showing the same support to new attendees and regular members, inspiring everyone to do their best and to have fun doing it. She never judges anyone on their fitness or their abilities.”
Another added: “Hayley always has a smile on her face, and we cannot thank her enough. She strives to ensure everyone’s mental health is in check and reassures us all that she is here to help.”
With an 18-month-old at home, she has never once been tired or grumpy with members or staff, she always has an incredibly positive energy and treats everyone as a best friend, whether you’ve known her for 10 years or 10 minutes.
Hayley’s Essex Activity Hero story is perfectly summed up by one individual: “I honestly don’t know of anyone who is more deserving of recognition than Hayley, and I implore you to consider this wonderful, selfless woman as she is genuinely my hero.”
