This year has certainly been one to remember. In and out of lockdown and restricted measures have meant hard times for many sport and physical activity clubs and organisations. But Disability4Sport have worked tirelessly to make sure their participants were still able to engage in activity.

They ensured all their soccability players were fully engaged to continue to develop themselves whilst at home and learn new skills through their weekly football challenges. These were led by soccability players, coaches, local clubs and semi-professional players.

Disability4Sport also inspired players to take part in the 7.1 million Keepie-Uppie challenge to raise money for the Covid heroes; the NHS, care-workers, transport drivers, teachers, supermarket workers and all the other keyworkers that strived to keep us safe during a period when many of us were told to stay at home. Once again, the Keepie-Uppie challenge helped participants stay engaged with the activity and provided them with the motivation to help raise money for individuals in their local communities.

Disability4Sport provide a wide range of sporting opportunities and activities that are aimed at engaging and empowering disabled people of all ages and abilities, with the intention of improving their physical health and mental wellbeing. The founders of Disability4Sport are passionate about making sports available to people with any disability; especially encouraging those who have not previously had the opportunity to take part in physical activity.

An individual who nominated the Disability4Sport team, said: “The team continue to grow and use innovative ways to meet the needs of their players and participants. They have gone above and beyond during a difficult time and I can truly describe them as heroic.”
