Hi, I am Rosie-Roella Kevlin, and I started working as Essex Pedal Power’s Coordinator in Clacton & Jaywick Sands, when the initiative launched in February 2021. The role has put me in the heart of a community that I had only been on the fringes of before. In my previous role, I was the site manager of Jaywick Martello Tower, which is a historic and iconic venue that showcases culture, heritage and the environment. Before Jaywick Martello Tower, I worked at Colchester Arts Centre, a professional live arts venue for 13 years. As the Artistic Coordinator I focused on the family programming to be inclusive, accessible and affordable for everyone.

Essex Pedal Power works! Folks are getting fitter in their mental and physical selves. It builds communities, friendships, enhances skills so folks can learn and educate themselves. To see we have created a project for the community by the community and on the back of this rolled out earlier than predicted Essex Pedal Power in another 3 key areas this past year with conversations now being had for Harlow & Braintree!
