I’m Kelvin Davies and I started working with Essex Pedal Power in February 2022  as a Cycle Mechanic and a Community Development Lead. After seeing the great work the team were doing, I wanted to help this amazing project grow, so when my new position came up, I had to go for it!

I was a Bikeability instructor for two years before starting at Essex Pedal Power. Before my time as a Bikeability instructor, I built playgrounds and sometimes tested the zip wires.

While working at Essex Pedal Power I have seen the difference cycling and physical activity can make to people’s lives. Whether that being to get out the house more, improve their health or meet new friends. Although the programme has given me a few more greys hairs than i’d have like, I would love to continue helping more people to get active and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
