1:2:1 Mentoring Support for PE Leads – Primary
Active Essex understands just how challenging it is to be the PE Subject Lead within a Primary setting – but we are also passionate about how rewarding this role can be and the influence it can have on the lives of children and young people.
Simply by requesting through our CYP inbox, PE Subject Leads are able to access advice and guidance from our team of education experts. You may have queries concerning the curriculum, health and safety, Primary Sport Premium spend or you may just need some general advice or support.
Inclusive PE course
This course has 10 bitesize modules that have been designed to increase teachers, teaching assistants, sports practitioners and the wider school workforce in the knowledge and confidence to deliver inclusive PE and school sport
Each section contains an introduction, key facts, space for self-reflection on current practice, tips on how to improve your practice and a handy additional resource page. A certificate is provided after each module, in addition to on completion of all ten modules.

Each term, the Active Essex team will host discussions for school staff and PE leads. Each interactive session will include Active Essex, national updates and give opportunity for schools to discuss key emerging issues and learn from each other.

Following the success of our PE & School Sport Conference in June 2024, planning is underway for the 2025 event. Inspired by the needs, thoughts and feedback from Headteachers, teachers and support staff, the next event will include a not-to-be-missed keynote speaker and also an environment to learn, develop and network. National Governing Bodies
A National Governing Body (NGB) is an organisation that administers sport across a country or nation. An NGB operating in regulated sports are represented at a National and County level by NGB staff. Local and National organisations all share offers to opportunities to schools to support their PE and school sport provision.
