First held in 1930, the Commonwealth Games is a prestigious international multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. This year the event returns to the UK for the first time in 20 years, having last being hosted in Manchester.
To see the Commonwealth Games back in the UK is not only an honour, but a huge, exciting opportunity, we hope to use this as inspiration and build a lasting legacy of opportunities for young people across Essex.
On this page, you will find a series of resources and opportunities to showcase how to use B2022 to support the development of young people in your school.
Resources have been designed in partnership with Essex’s School Games Organisers and young people across the county. We aim to use the inspiration and profile of B2022 to engage new and different children and young people in the Essex School Games, with a clear focus on tackling inequalities whilst providing a universal offer for all children and young people to access and have positive and meaningful experiences from. This page will be continuously updated so keep checking back for new content!
